3rd Floor Tripel

TRAPPIST-STYLE TRIPEL

8.3 % ABV - 30 IBUs

The Charleston Single house is a unique architectural style found all over the peninsula.  They are typically three story houses with porches on the side of the house.  Unless you lived or grew up in one of these houses, you may not know that the 3rd floor has poor ventilation and slanted ceilings.  It was the perfect accommodation for youngins to act like youngins.  Our beer was named for that experience and the shenanigans that occurred on the third floor.

Belgian beers are all about yeast and Tripel is unmistakably a Belgian beer.  Originally made by monks in Trappist monasteries throughout Belgium, now they are made by most breweries in Belgium.  Our beer follows tradition and uses pale malts, european hops, and a sugar refined from beets.  The combination of ingredients gives lots of honey dew melon and cantaloupe notes with a subtle tangerine sweetness, and a slight warmth from the alcohol.  The finish is light and peppery.  Warning…this beer can elevate you to the third floor!
